Lester Hadsell is an experienced teacher and researcher. He has held full-time academic positions at SUNY Albany, SUNY Oneonta, and UNC-Wilmington, teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in economics and finance.
Dr. Hadsell’s research has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review, Applied Economics, Economics Letters, Energy Journal, and Journal of Futures Markets. Recent work focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of economics, examining the role of culture in shaping economic systems through individual preferences and public policy. His book Social Economies: How Society Shapes and is Shaped by Economic Thinking is out now.

In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Hadsell has served in editorial capacities for several journals, including the Journal of Education for Business, from 2007-2015.
Dr. Hadsell has a PhD in economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and BA and MA in economics from the University at Albany
