Highlights

In my pre-student teaching at Lincoln-Way East High School, I taught a lesson on Quinceañeras to Spanish 2 classes and shared my own experience of having a traditional Mexican 15th birthday celebration. 

The Quinceañera lesson focused on vocabulary acquisition and grammar, incorporating cultural elements. Through the interactive presentation, reading, and group activities, students practiced using correct forms of "ser" and "estar" while exploring the significance of Quinceañeras in Latin American culture.

During my study abroad semester in Spring 2023, I volunteered at Impacto Solidario, a non-profit after-school program in Seville, Spain. I taught English and provided academic support for children and youth.

While studying abroad in Spain, I lived in Seville and took excursions to nearby cities, immersing myself in the local culture.
