My artwork is rooted in close observation and response to the people and events that shape our shared experience. I am especially inspired by personal and collective experiences that invite dialogue, connection, and change.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art from San José State University, where I developed a strong foundation in visual expression and conceptual thinking. Over time, my practice has evolved through community engagement, exhibitions, and public art projects that emphasize art’s ability to foster understanding and shared experience.
I have participated in exhibitions and events, including Art Apart and Virtual Art in the Park sponsored by the Petaluma Arts Center, an exhibition with Sonoma Fine Arts Women (SFWA), the Delicious exhibit at Studio Gallery in San Francisco in 2016 and 2018, as well as the Members Exhibit at PAC and art installations at Aqus Cafe. Community-based projects include: the Black Lives Matter mural at the Petaluma Library and painting a piano for the Friends of Petaluma fundraiser.
My recent work is focused primarily in watercolor, a medium I value for its immediacy, transparency, and expressive potential. The focus is on American vintage toys, which serve as visual touchstones for memory, identity, and cultural history. These objects carry both personal nostalgia and broader social narratives, allowing me to explore themes of childhood, time, and shared experience. Through watercolor, I aim to capture their character and emotional resonance while inviting viewers to reflect on their own connections to these familiar forms.
I served on the Board of the Petaluma Arts Center froom 2020-2022 and chaired the Education Committee at PAC from 2020-2025.
