I analyzed bird thermal soaring over the North Sea by studying meteorological variables and comparing them with weather maps. The study focused on two locations, IJmuiden and Schiermonnikoog, near offshore wind farms, where bird behavior is of particular interest.
The analysis covered the years 2019 and 2020, using open-source data from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecast (ECMWF) Reanalysis v5 (ERA5) and weather maps from the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI).
I used Python for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
This project showcases a Business Intelligence report created in Power BI, analyzing sales data from Olist, a Brazilian e-commerce platform for third-party sellers. The goal was to uncover key business trends and support strategic decision-making for sellers and marketplaces.
Originally developed for a Power BI certification exam, the report was later refined to improve layout, usability, and interactivity.
This report presents an analysis of electronics pricing in the Netherlands from September to December 2024, including Black Friday and end-of-year sales.
It offers key insights into end-of-year pricing strategies aimed at helping retailers better understand market trends and adjust their pricing decisions.
The main analysis is perfomed and presented in Power BI.
I conducted a detailed competitor analysis for an Italian shoe brand, focusing on footwear types and pricing. The goal was to help my client maintain a competitive market position and identify opportunities for differentiation to better meet customer needs.
I collected the data through web scraping and performed the analysis and visualization using Python.
I analyzed data from the bird radar BirdScan MR1, owned by the University of Amsterdam and located at ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo, focusing on bird and insect movement patterns. I personally contributed to the installation and maintenance of the radar between February and October 2021.
My analysis covered radar targets, including Migration Traffic Rate (MTR), altitude, flight direction, and speed. The radar data was automatically uploaded to the SBRS's database, where I queried it using SQL to extract relevant information. I performed the data analysis and visualization using Python.
I created a database for VendiCose SpA, a ficticious company that manages supermarkets, to handle the flow of orders for warehouses and their associated retail stores.
I designed the database schema, including an ER diagram that outlines the entities, keys, and relationships. I created the database using MySQL and wrote the necessary queries to manage the system.
II created a Looker Studio report on the Sanremo Music Festival, analyzing 73 editions from 1951 to 2023.
Before conducting the main analysis in Looker Studio, I used Python for data cleaning and data engineering, including managing and joining tables.
The report is in Italian but the comments in the Jupyter Notebook are in English.
