Leonardo has a degree in Control and Automation Engineering from FEI and works in the automotive industry with product development, mainly wiring harnesses and electrical schematics, working together with manufacturers and OEMs to bring concepts to reality with reliability and quality.
Has experience in Bill of Materials (BOM), CAN/LIN, Electronic Control Unit (ECU), splices, electrical connectors, KBL files, failure analysis (DFMEA and FMEA) and prototype/product research and development. Skilled in software such as Mentor Graphics Capital Harness/Logic and CATIA v5 for the development of electrical harnesses, Leonardo is always seeking to improve his knowledge in the area of electrical engineering and electronics to keep up with the trends of electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and electromobility.
Also dedicated to study and develop applications with Artificial Intelligence in Python, Leonardo together with his colleagues from FEI's Image and Signal Processing Laboratory were the finalists for the H-INNOVA HEALTH INNOVAtion Award in 2020/2021 where they developed a computational method able to classify pain in newborns through facial images with Deep Learning.
