Beyond Boring Software built the Lenshot Pro app as a Commercial (Paid) app. This SERVICE is provided by Beyond Boring Software and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
1. 100% Offline Architecture & Zero Cloud Storage
Lenshot Pro is designed as a privacy-first, offline application. We do not collect, store, or transmit your documents, images, or extracted text to any external cloud servers. All scanning, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and file encryption happen entirely on your device's local processor.
2. Information Collection and Use
For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain permissions. The information that we request will be retained locally on your device and used strictly as described in this privacy policy.
Permissions Required by Lenshot Pro:
Camera & Photos: Required to scan documents, import images, and apply PDF conversions. Your documents and images are processed locally on your device. We do not upload or transmit your scans to our servers.
Biometric Authentication: Our app uses the "Private Safe" feature which requires biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or face unlock). This process is handled entirely by your device's secure Android system. Lenshot Pro does not have access to, collect, or store your biometric data.
Storage (Read/Write / Manage External Storage): Required to aggregate your PDF files, save generated PDFs, extract text files, and move files securely into the app's Private Safe.
Microphone (Record Audio): Required only if utilizing the Voice Search feature. Audio data is processed locally by your device's native speech recognition engine. We do not record, listen to, or store your audio.
3. Security and "Private Safe" (CRITICAL WARNING)
We value your trust in providing us with your information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it.
Private Safe Data Deletion: Lenshot Pro offers a "Private Safe" feature that hides and encrypts your documents from the public folders on your device. Please note that this feature relies entirely on your local device storage. If you clear the app's data, perform a factory reset, or uninstall the Lenshot Pro app, ALL files stored inside the Private Safe will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us.

4. No Advertising
Unlike our free version, Lenshot Pro is a premium application. It contains absolutely no advertisements. We do not integrate third-party ad networks (like AdMob), nor do we track your device for advertising purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
While Lenshot Pro operates offline, the app utilizes standard secure libraries provided by your device's operating system to function properly.

6. Purchases and Data Deletion
Lenshot Pro is a one-time purchase commercial application. There are no recurring subscriptions.
Data Deletion: Because Lenshot Pro is offline, you have total control over your data. You can permanently delete all your data at any time by deleting files within the app, clearing the App Data in your Android System Settings, or uninstalling the app.
7. Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in the rare case of a fatal app crash, we may collect anonymous crash data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device IP address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics to help us fix the bug. It does not include your personal documents.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
