Lenny VerMaas--loves math and has a life-long passion to help students enjoy learning mathematics. His whole career has been in Nebraska, teaching 28 years in the middle school and high school classrooms and since 2002 with Educational Service Unit #6. During this time he has been working with teachers on a wide range of instructional strategies, brain compatible learning, effective use of homework, vocabulary acquisition and student engagement. Lenny received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (1998). He has presented at many math, science, and technology conferences.
