US Tour

  • Phantom Blooper Reel

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • Maker says: Well, the long awaited DVD is here! This DVD compiles bloopers from the 2004 movie, stage flubs caught on tape, lyric flubs, funny videos, and other humorous compilations relating to Phantom! A must have!

  • 1989, Los Angeles

  • Michael Crawford (The Phantom of the Opera), Dale Kristien (Christine Daaé), Steve Barton (Raoul)

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • Lots of washout and generation loss, but the best video of Michael Crawford around. According to another site, it is Reece Holland as Raoul in the video, though some footage may be from Steve Barton's three week stint in the production.

  • May/June 1989; Los Angeles

  • Michael Crawford (Phantom), Dale Kristen (Christine), Steve Barton (Raoul), Leigh Munro (Carlotta), Calvin Remsberg (Firmin)

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • Surprisingly good quality for something so old. Definitely the best video of Crawford around. 2 versions available, I recommend to own both.

  • Version 1: common version, good quality for its age, still some gen loss which made it a bit blurry. Includes Crawford's studio performance of Music of the Night from an unknown to me source.

  • Version 2*: I got this one directly from the person who digitalized it upon my request so it's rather rare thing. Starts 10 seconds earlier than version 1, much less gen loss so picture is clearer but it's darker and colors are faded a bit. Sound is a bit clearer but has some crackle and has breaks every few seconds during last 15 minutes.

  • Version 2 is Not For Trade until 8 July 2021 except through theatremancambridge@gmail.com

  • 1990, Los Angeles

  • Michael Crawford (The Phantom of the Opera), Mary D'Arcy (alt Christine Daaé), Reece Holland (Raoul)

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • 1991, Los Angeles

  • Norman Large (u/s The Phantom of the Opera), Dale Kristien (Christine Daaé), Steve Barton (Raoul)

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • January 3, 1991, Los Angeles

  • Michael Crawford (The Phantom of the Opera), Dale Kristien (Christine Daae), Michael Piontek (Raoul)

  • VOB (no smalls)/MKV

  • Phantom-oriented highlights, probably the clearest video of Crawford yet. Includes both VOBs and MKV version with adjusted brightness

  • July/September, 1993; Pittsburgh

  • Franc D'Ambrosio, Tracy Shayne, Ciaran Sheehan

  • MP4

  • Highlights, Phantom-focused, starting at 'The Mirror'. Many closeups and fairly good quality for it's age; graininess and some generation loss are its main problems.

  • August 29, 1993, Los Angeles

  • Davis Gaines (The Phantom of the Opera), Dale Kristien (Christine Daaé), Michael Piontek (Raoul), Leigh Munro (Carlotta Giudicelli), Calvin Remsberg (Monsieur Firmin), Norman Large (Monsieur André), Barbara Lang (Madame Giry), Gualtiero Negrini (Ubaldo Piangi), Elizabeth Stringer (Meg Giry)

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • Final Matinee of the Los Angeles production. Single Camera full stage pro-shot. This is a different performance than the evening pro-shot from the same day.

  • August 29, 1993, Los Angeles

  • Davis Gaines (The Phantom of the Opera), Dale Kristien (Christine Daaé), Michael Piontek (Raoul), Leigh Munro (Carlotta Giudicelli), Calvin Remsberg (Monsieur Firmin), Norman Large (Monsieur André), Barbara Lang (Madame Giry), Gualtiero Negrini (Ubaldo Piangi), Elizabeth Stringer (Meg Giry)

  • VOB (no smalls)

  • Final evening performance of the Los Angeles sit-down production. Full stage shot, slightly darker than the matinee performance video. Features a TV spot in the beginning, the Phantom messing up a line in 'Down Once More', and speeches at the end.

  • Pro-shot

  • June 25/26, 1992 / 1993, Philadelphia/Detroit

  • Kevin Gray (The Phantom of the Opera), Teri Bibb (Christine Daaé), Dodie Pettit (u/s Christine Daaé), Keith Buterbaugh (Raoul), Nat Chandler (Raoul), David Hunerjaeger

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • 3 sets of highlights in one DVD. First two (from Philadelphia) probably were filmed by the same person and quality there is quite poor. Detroit video is much better, but it's shorter (35 minutes comparing to 85 and 45 minutes for others)

  • 1998, Texas

  • Brad Little (The Phantom of the Opera), Amy Jo Arrington or Megan Starr Levitt (Christine Daae)

  • MP4

  • A rare find! It's only about 12 minutes of the show; I wish it was longer or even the full show not only because of the cast but because some of the closeups are pretty good. Because of the quality and that Amy and Megan did look a little similar, I can't tell which one of them it is.

  • Extremely limited trades, 5:1

  • September 1998, Los Angeles

  • Davis Gaines (The Phantom of the Opera), Marie Danvers (Christine Daaé), Lawrence Anderson (u/s Raoul)

  • VOB (with smalls)

  • October 14, 1998, San Fransisco

  • Franc D’Ambrosio (The Phantom of the Opera), Lisa Vroman (Christine Daaé), Christopher Carl (Raoul)

  • MP4

  • Phantom-oriented highlights shot in portrait. Great quality for its age.

  • October 15, 1998, San Francisco

  • Franc D'Ambrosio, Lisa Vroman, Christopher Carl

  • MP4

  • Contains pretty much any scene with members of the main trio (Act One — 44 mins, Act Two — 47 Mins). Video is shot in portrait-mode, much like an iPhone. But like the taper's other videos he knows the show like the back of his hands and is a great capture of each actor.

  • Limited trade (1:2).

  • September 7, 1999,Pittsburgh

  • Brad Little (The Phantom of the Opera), Rebecca Pitcher (Christine Daaé), Richard Todd Adams (Raoul), Ian Jon Bourg (Monsieur André)

  • MP4

  • Highlights

  • December 1, 2002, Philadelphia

  • Ted Keegan (The Phantom of the Opera), Rebecca Pitcher (Christine Daaé), Tim Martin Gleason (Raoul)

  • VOB (no smalls) (SD)

  • Blurry, washed out, and a huge head in the center. Audio is incredibly loud compared to other videos.

  • November 18, 2003, Los Angeles

  • Brad Little (The Phantom of the Opera), Marni Raab (Christine Daaé), Tim Martin Gleason (Raoul), Kim Stengel (Carlotta Giudicelli), David Cryer (Monsieur Firmin), DC Anderson (Monsieur André), Patti Davidson-Gorbea (Madame Giry), Jimmy Smagula (Ubaldo Piangi), Kate Wray (Meg Giry)

  • MP4, looking for VOB

  • Nicely shot video and good quality, though it gets grainier in closeups

  • November 19, 2003, Los Angeles

  • Brad Little (The Phantom of the Opera), Lisa Vroman (Christine Daaé), Tim Martin Gleason (Raoul)

  • WMV

  • Same filmer as the November 18, 2003 video, so same general quality, though there's a bit more blurriness and washout than in the other video. Filming is rather shaky as well. Both Brad Little and Lisa Vroman were ill and crack on a few notes, but they're nonetheless quite excellent

  • January 11, 2004, Orlando

  • Brad Little (The Phantom of the Opera), Elizabeth Southard (Christine Daaé), Tim Martin Gleason (Raoul), Kim Stengel (Carlotta Giudicelli), David Cryer (Monsieur Firmin), D C Anderson (Monsieur André), Patti Davidson-Gorbea (Madame Giry), Jimmy Smagula (Ubaldo Piangi), Kate Wray (Meg Giry)

  • VOB (no smalls)

  • Missing all but the very last word of the prologue. When the chandelier lights and begins its ascent, there is video disturbance, as well as audio disturbance. Video is non-existent in the beginning of the Angel Of Music scene, and there are a few cover-ups in Hannibal. Missing the beginning of "I Remember" . . . picks up at Christine's line "Who is that shape in the shadows?"
