Sundials on a Cloudy Day

Everything Charlie knew about sundials hadn’t been learned deliberately. They’re one of those things you hear about, but don’t often look into. 

When he was young, he’d been bored by the concept.

A rock and the sun...?

He still debated whether he really knew how they worked.

Oh well, a watch works fine.
