Solena Ornelas

Currently, Solena serves as a Constituent Services Representative and Community Liaison for Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. She is also an incoming Performance studies masters student at NYU. Her scholarly interests focus on political theory, social justice, and liberation movements, critically examining how traditional liberal democratic approaches address the needs of historically marginalized communities. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Music Performance and Political Science from Dominican University of California, and a master’s degree in Arts and Public Policy from New York University. This site is a culmination of her artistic and scholarly works.
