Lemonise are a psychedelic pop/rock act based in Marrickville (Eora). Consisting of three undergraduate students at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and one JMC graduate, Lemonise present musically developed grooves and hooks in their mesmerising live show. Lead singer and Garigal/Awabakal/GuriNgai (language group) man Jake Magi incorporates Yidaki-didgeridoo drones and rhythms throughout their live show.
In 2025, Lemonise played over nine music festivals, including the Ocean Stage at Yours and Owls festival, SXSW Sydney, Wallaby Creek Festival (FNQ, QLD), Coondoo Mountain Festival (QLD), King Street Crawl, Old Bar Beach Festival (headliner The Terrys), and more.
In 2025, Lemonise opened for Pacific Avenue, Mahalia Barnes, VLADS, Bootleg Rascal, Charlie Pittman, Tjaka, and more. They played a total of 42 shows across 4 states.
In 2026 so far, Lemonise have toured NSW with the Beddy Rays (Wollongong and Ulladulla), featured on Awesome Black’s Maito Weekender (Maitland), playing on the mainstage alongside Barkaa, and are set to open the mainstage at River Sounds in May 2026 (headliners Thundamentals and Babe Rainbow).
After releasing their self-produced debut EP, Smoke Signals, in late 2025, Lemonise saw three singles played on triple j (NAIDOC Week and Late Nights) and one single on triple j unearthed. Their Spotify monthly listeners grew to 24k in late 2025 after numerous editorial playlist adds, and their EP has garnered over 110,000 streams on Spotify alone. Lemonise toured their debut EP in October 2025 with 60 tickets sold at The Tote in Melbourne, a full capacity Vic on the Park show in Sydney, and full capacity regional shows such as Crescent Head Tavern.
