The writing center’s mission is to
· help writers become stronger and more independent by learning to ask and answer their own questions about a paper’s focus, organization, and evidence.
· work with writers who want to improve their writing skills at all levels, whether they are building basic skills or strengthening strategies to successfully complete writing tasks.
· recognize that writing is a process of discovery where writers explore and develop their ideas to provide a clear and logical text.
· support writers of all backgrounds, abilities, and language experiences. Our purpose is to collaborate with writers at all stages of the writing process to strengthen their communication skills and celebrate their individual voices.
