I am a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science, University of St Andrews. I am a member of the System Research Group (SRG) within the school. My research interests include Bayesian inference, activity recognition, Baysian nonparametric learning in sensor data, state space time series models, anomaly detection, sensor data processing, and machine learning in general.
Prior to my current post, I was a postdoc working on the EPSRC Science of Sensor Systems Software (S4) project. I obtained my Ph.D. at St Andrews on statistical model based wireless sensor networks control; and I have won the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance (SICSA) Ph.D. Prize Scholarship for my Ph.D. studies. I received BSc (1st class hons) in Informaton and Computing, University of Liverpool, the UK. A copy of my C.V. can be found here.
I am looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students who want to work on the following research topics:
Bayesian machine learning, statistical inference related research topics.
