Leicestershire Junior and Senior Parliaments

Updated 2nd March 2026 See also some text on the Home page. Targets revised. Roughly 144 voting members for a countywide Junior Parliament. Still 1,000 for a Senior Parliament. And junior county sub-parliaments would surely be formed, for the north of the county and for the south and for the city, with around 48 voting members in each of the three sections.
Updated 23rd March 2026 and 21st May 160 Junior Parliament members, in the ten constituencies for Westminster MPs. These Parliaments, including Senior, will have much communication, perhaps via social media or other internet processes, and some voting. They will not need statutory powers. Their decisions and key dialogues need to be visible and, de facto, be targeted at local Members of Parliament and the councils in Leicestershire.

This ukart does currently have a formal base assigned for its hosting and that will probably become a Wordpress edited website. But I have not many ideas how to start, neither as to the content or the technology or any long term plans!
No doubt there are numerous art related groups around the UK, which could be signposted, and there might be already a key website or several for that.
Leicestershire has over a million residents and will probably benefit from having much art-related information. There are many art groups in the county and in neighbouring counties. So East Midlands art project connections or West Midlands art project connections can surely be established.
Wordpress is a very popular and flexible website building tool and comes in two main styles. I will look for a suitable free website design template and try to install it. I have heard of the Wordpress editor facility called Elementor and understand that it is pretty good at editing pixels! So a suitable template plus Elementor sounds a good approach.
For many purposes Google sites, like this Leicester Life, are much simpler than Wordpress ones and de facto less expensive. I have in mind, broadly, a network of national and international sites. Probably the key ones will be on Wordpress in time and some hundreds or thousands can be created with Google's facilities.
A community project might qualify for some special support or facilities from Google.

Later there should be content here about the music related charity Darbar and UK based sitar player Roopa Panesar.
For now, some unique jazzy vocals, from Estonia. Related to a 1979 movie about a Dead Mountaineer! Includes harp and keyboard.

21st May 2026
Here is a longish documentary about expert guitarists and their influences on Steve Howe. Almost no music to listen to is there, so many will find it a boring YouTube video, but I trust videos will be created, or can easily be found, to present recordings from those experts.
No references contained to the Shadows (1960s) or to Eric Clapton or Dire Straits or J.J.Cale and I can't offer my own opinions currently. Or references to Sylvester Stallone, as the Tulsa King, Dwight Manfredi...
Lois and the helicopter clip, 1978.
Superman: "Easy, Miss. I've got you..."
Lois Lane: "You've got me. Who's got you?"
"Wham Bam" stuff. Music track from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
"Your love has given me wings..." Song from Hetty and the Jazzato Band.
And here's a dancey, musicey, pure genius set of edited clips. We waited about four billion years for somebody to manage it! The next key job will take about eight years. Well, I hope less...

Here is a linked page, referencing languages or, being more precise, English in particular:
Languages
Lincolnshire, which is a part of the East Midlands, is going through an education drama at present and the teaching and the learning of English are among/amongst the aspects.
"I will start some language related projects and targeting English in particular."
Notes: or is not interchangeable with and, when a list or more than a single something is presented. Different meanings result.
Can you spot language related grammar errors above? Maybe needing... Well, there is some ambiguity! Perhaps, also, this is not a seventh page but a part of Page 3.
and target , targeting targeted I have started
For the present, just clues about Language Stuff:
Mandarin, Spanish, English, Modern Standard Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Western Punjabi, French and Indonesian.
Later, I am confident, some German, Italian, Turkish and Ukrainian. These external links might not work for you, depending on your location or computing device or your choice of internet browser:

Updates 21st May 2026 (various estimates)
Project supporters who have translation skills, starting from English text will be most welcome here, whether in Leicestershire or around the world. My currently undisclosed Eight Year Internet Plan is... ambitious and headed towards providing millions of webpages and towards locations very far from Leicester! Wordpress sites, perhaps, for key materials.
Total world speakers of
English, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, French, Modern Standard Arabic,
Bengali, Portuguese, Russian, Urdu and Indonesian are roughly:
1.5 billion, 1.1 billion, 600 million, 560 million and 310 million, 310 million,
275 million, 260 million, 260 million, 230 million, 200 million.
Total world speakers of Persian, German, Japanese, Punjabi,
Turkish, Italian and Ukrainian are roughly:
135 million, 130 million, 125 million, 125 million (?),
85 million, 80 million and 45 million.
I temporarily or strategically ignore speakers of Marathi, Telugu and Tamil from India. They have over 85 million speakers each but text in Hindi or English is likely to understood by speakers of Marathi. The chance, in broad terms, is much less for speakers of Telugu and Tamil but is surely still quite high for regular internet users.
And for the present I ignore Swahili speakers. People online are likely to understand English or French.
So, if we have interesting text in English, there are 10 top languages for which we might hope to provide translations, starting with Mandarin and through to Indonesian. So roughly 5 billion online might benefit. Fair coverage, surely. And maybe seven more languages might appear, from Persian to Ukrainian.
And if I provide key beginnerish training in English, well some vocabulary or phrases or grammar could be translated, via software, into over 20 or perhaps as many as 31 languages. Operators and result checkers needed for that.
Plus people who can record live videos, which speak the texts in English. Several video speakers would be ideal for each piece. People both male and female, also young and medium and old. Six variants. Plus somebody with absolutely top quality pronunciation.
Much to do! Not sure if that would be a headache on YouTube because of the appearance of distracting advertising... I probably need some cooperation from Google!
