In early July, 2025 the Republic of Leianor came into confederation. First the constitution was written and signed by the founder of Leianor and the House of Commons.

About 5 days after confederation the flag of Leianor was adopted by the founder of Leianor. It has Canadian maple leaves because of close ties to Canada. The green symbolizes the green grass and trees of Leianor. The blue for the clear blue skys of Leianor. It also has the name Leianor across it and red is for the leaves in fall.

Official recognition
On February 3rd 2026 Leianor officially became a nation because it met the requirements of the international law of the Montevideo Convention which defines a country. Four items are needed for a country; 1. Permanent population (8). ✔️2. Defined borders. ✔️ 3. Government. ✔️ 4. Interactions with other recognized country's representatives (Canada in our case). ✔️
