Whether it is for a webpage or an Instagram post, keep in mind the organization of your content. Considering the layout of your content keeps the attention of your users and be accommodating to people with conditions like attention deficit disorder (ADD)
When figuring out what to include in your work, try not to include every single detail about what you are trying to advertise. Only include the most important information such as the name of the event/program/product, date and location of something, important links, etc. With those details, try and make them as prominent as possible using eye catching colors and/or a larger font size.
You can still add extra information like what is happening, but try not to make it also as prominent as your important information. If you have too much information, it can get confusing to read and your content may start to feel like your user is looking at a crowded room.
An extra pro for the creator, if you include less in your graphic, that means that you have less alternative text (see Alternative Text for more information) to type out when posting content!
When figuring out how to organize your content, think of it like looking at a shopping list. Have your most important information on top (like the title), your important, but useful information below that (like the date and location), and then any secondary information (like a description and links) towards the bottom.
You are more than welcome to play and experiment slightly with this layout, but still try and be mindful of making the most important details of your content larger. Also, if you do have a constant theme for a certain kind of content, keep the same format and look for all of those graphics so the content is easily recognizable to your users.
