Nelson is a spirited gelding who absolutely loves being the center of attention! While he’s a laid-back kick ride on the flat, he really comes to life when the jumps come out. Nelson also adores horse shows, as he loves to strut his stuff and show off his flying changes! He’s a fantastic teacher for riders of all levels, from young walk/trot students to those ready to shine in the show ring.
Tilly is the cutest and sassiest large pony around! She’s a true “kick ride” but always perks up when the jumps come out—she’ll jump anything you point her at. Tilly is one of our most patient school horses and adores standing for hours of grooming, love, and (of course) treats. She’s perfect for helping our beginner riders build confidence and grow all the way to jumping small courses!
D has a sturdy build and a fun-loving personality! He’s one of our most dependable school horses; steady, brave, and unfazed by just about anything (plus, undeniably handsome). D has quickly become a barn favorite, helping riders of all levels from walk/trot to the show ring!
Rain is the cutest and goofiest pony you’ll ever meet! She’s short, sturdy, and full of personality. Rain has an incredibly smooth trot and canter and even enjoys popping over small jumps. She’ll happily stand for hours soaking up attention and love from anyone nearby. She’s truly impossible not to smile at!
Jonas is super stocky and truly the goodest boy! He gives his all every time he steps out of his stall. Another one-eyed superstar, Jonas, proves that you don’t need two eyes to be the best. He’s a dependable partner for riders ranging from advanced beginners to those confidently jumping full courses at shows!
Ezra is a gelding with a great balance of sensitivity and control; while he’s got his own motor, he also has fantastic brakes and a lovely, round jump. Ezra has proven himself both in the show ring and at home as a reliable, versatile lesson horse. From helping little ones learn to jump to taking advanced riders on trail rides, Ezra truly can do it all!
Noah has truly done it all! He has plenty of experience and knows his job inside and out. While he does appreciate a confident rider with a strong leg, he offers all the fancy buttons once you get to know him. Noah is a barn favorite for his versatility; whether he’s calmly jogging with beginner walk/trot students or showing off his skills in the IEA ring and with his shareboarder, he always gives his best.
Conan is one of our youngest school horses, affectionately known as “Baby Conan.” He is as sweet and willing as they come, always eager to please with his great “can-do” attitude. Full of potential, Conan continues to grow and impress us every day. We can’t wait to see him continue to develop.
Cooper was a sweet, goofy gelding known for his endless kisses and lovable personality. During his year at LHF, he helped students grow in confidence, cantering full courses with lead changes, teaching them to stay balanced after jumps, and offering a few humbling moments along the way. He was a beloved part of our program and touched the hearts of many riders.
Delilah was the sweetest Quarter Pony you could ever meet. Rescued in the summer of 2021, she spent her remaining years at LHF living her best life. Though she only had vision in one eye, nothing ever slowed her down. She loved jumping small courses with confident riders and taking it easy with beginners. Delilah adored long grooming sessions (and potato chips!) and will always be remembered with love by everyone at LHF.
Ty was the gentlest giant you could ever meet. Standing just shy of 18 hands, this goofy and kind-hearted Appendix gelding was loved by riders of all ages. Known for his smooth, easy gaits and patient nature, Ty helped countless students gain confidence and skill in the saddle. While he no longer jumped, he had endless lessons to teach on the flat. Ty will always be remembered for his laughter, kindness, and the joy he brought to everyone at LHF.
Jasmine was a horse with an incredible story and an even bigger spirit. Though she grew up in the fast-paced world of polo and carried the mark of a career-ending injury, Jasmine’s perspective on life remains nothing but positive. She is a pillar of stability at the barn, known for her unshakable confidence and steady presence. Whether she is patiently teaching a beginner the basics of a walk-trot or helping an aspiring rider navigate a canter course, Jasmine pours her heart into every lesson. She will forever be loved by everyone at LHF.
Bo was a gentle giant who made a big impact during his short time at LHF. This rescued Percheron gelding joined us in 2021 alongside Bennie and quickly won everyone over with his heart of gold. After learning he’d be best suited for light work, Bo found the perfect “retirement” home as a therapy horse!
King was only at LHF for a short time, but he made a lasting impression. From guiding beginner walk/trot riders to cantering full courses and introducing students to dressage, he did it all. After discovering his true passion and talent for dressage (earning a 76% and high point at his first show!), King was donated to a dressage and IEA program where he continues to shine and inspire new riders.
Sunny was one of LHF’s very first school horses and taught nearly every student, from first lessons to full jumping courses. When she made it clear she preferred more turnout time, Sunny found her perfect match at a lesson program in Indiana (alongside King!), where she now enjoys spending her days outdoors with friends, living her best and happiest life
Mighty was leased to our program for just over a year, but he made an unforgettable impact. This spunky old man loved his job and took amazing care of every rider while showing off in the ring. A cornerstone of our early program and a star on our IEA team, Mighty even finished the season by winning Horse of the Show. He was loved by all of us, and we’ll always treasure the time we shared with him.
Dillin held a special place at LHF. Cassidy knew and showed him as a young horse, so when his sale ad appeared, it felt meant to be. He quickly became a key part of our program, from lessons and IEA to having his own shareboarders. After an unfortunate injury ended his riding days, Dillin found the perfect retirement home, where he now enjoys plenty of friends, endless turnout, and all the food he could want!
