About: 

Saurabh is a postdoctoral resarcher working on applications of AI for mechaics and computer vision problems. He became a part of the Legato team in August 2019 as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD fellow within the ITN RAINBOW network. Primary focus of his PhD was the development of advanced data-centric numerical models aimed at simulating real-time soft tissue deformations. In particular, he has expertise in geometric and bayesian deep learning techniques.

Prior to joining the RAINBOW network, he worked as a Scientist/Engineer at the Indian Space Research Organisation for a duration of two years. He holds an integrated bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering from IIT Madras, India, with an academic exchange at TU Munich, Germany for one semester. Additionally, Saurabh is passionate about sports, music, and entrepreneurship.
