About: 

Paris Papavasileiou is a PhD candidate whose research focuses on the modeling of an industrial-scale chemical process using data-driven and equation-based methods. His passion for process engineering and interest in AI and Industry 4.0 inspired him to pursue this research. This research is part of a collaborative project between the University of Luxembourg and CERATIZIT Luxembourg S.à r.l. His plans include a hybrid approach along with uncertainty quantification for the problem at hand. His methods have also been successfully implemented in other applications.

Paris received his BSc and MEng in chemical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, after completing his Master's thesis in collaboration with CIRIMAT in Toulouse, France. Subsequently, he joined the Legato Team as a PhD candidate. 

In his free time, Paris enjoys doing endurance sports, watching films, and spending time in nature.
