About: 

Jinyuan joined the team in March 2022 as a PhD student under the FNR project, Hydro-CSI (2018–2023). The project was coordinated by Prof. Laurent PFISTER at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), affiliated to the University of Luxembourg (UL). Jinyuan has been supervised by Dr. Kanishka MALLICK (LIST & UL), Prof. Laurent PFISTER (LIST & UL), Prof. Stéphane BORDAS, and Dr. Patrick MATGEN (LIST & UL). His research focused on understanding the response of vegetation biophysical attributes to groundwater variation.

Before joining the team, he completed his M.Sc. in Geoinformatics at the University of Stuttgart in Stuttgart, Germany, in June 2018. He holds a Bachelor degree in Geographic Information Science from Nanjing University in Nanjing, China. Apart from his academic endeavors, he is passionate about volleyball, swimming, and Chinese drum. He was also the PhD student delegate from November 2022 to October 2024 at the University of Luxembourg.
