Legal Eagles is a community service project that teaches elementary and middle school-aged students about Civics and our government in a fun and interactive way. The goal of this project is to educate the youth so that they can learn and understand about our country's history and be better informed citizens.
Our purpose is to get these students prepared for the higher level of expectation in social science courses in middle school and ready to take their 7th-grade Civics EOC. This will give them a stronger sense of confidence to soar high, passing their EOC, and feeling pride in their success.
We hope to educate future generations so that they:
"promote the blessing of liberty to ourselves and our posterity" (USA Preamble).
Established: 02/10/23
Every other week, Legal Eagles visits Bent Tree Elementary and William Lehman Elementary to educate their patrols, media team, and FEA groups on the basic principles of civics. Going over topics like how to put up the US flag and other valuable information, imperative to the development and education of our youth.
Our veterans deserve our appreciation and recognition, for their selfless commitment to our country. They have made incredible sacrifices to protect our freedom and we owe them a debt of gratitude. For this reason, Legal Eagles held a drive to address the needs our veterans and was able to donate over 1,500 items to the Veterans Medical Center in Miami.
A digital way to provide extra resources for students taking the Civics EOC to study and learn from.
To prepare the MAS 7th grade students for their Civics EOC, every Tuesday and Thurday, Legal Eagles holds Civics Prep sessions after school for the students to attend.
