Legacy Battle is a recreation of the Minecraft Legacy Console Edition Battle minigame.
While waiting for a match to begin, you can hang out in the Lobby, allowing you to vote maps or ready up (scroll down to Controls for details).
When a match begins, players are locked into a starting position where they cannot move for 10 seconds. After the 10 seconds, players can move around and loot as many middle chests as possible (placed around the center. If Central Spawn is disabled, center chests are not a target). There is a 15 second grace period where you are invulnerable to EVERYTHING (except moderator /kill). After this, all players can take damage.
Chests are placed around the map in fixed locations (meaning no matter how many times you play chests will always be in the same places) with food, weapons, and/or armor. Loot these chests to get resources and become stronger! Chests refill periodically to ensure that no one runs out of loot.
The game ends when there is only one player remaining. However, if multiple people are still alive for a long time, the following could happen:
Showdown occurs after a certain amount of time depending on the player count. When Showdown occurs, all player's nametags are revealed, so you can see everyone's location (unless they are crouching).
After Showdown occurs, there is a period of time before a 60 second countdown begins (depends on Round Length). Once the 60 second cooldown is over, the player with the most kills wins. If all remaining players have an equal amount of kills, the player with the most damage wins. If there is still a tie, the game is a draw. The game also draws if the remaining two players kill each other on the same tick.
Small bars above your hotbar represent players. If a bar is lit up, that color's corresponding player is alive. If it isn't lit up, they are dead. When spectating, you can go up to a player to spectate them and cycle between players with the arrows in your hotbar.
Map Voting
Hold out the empty map/paper and right click/click the Use button. A menu will appear with different maps. Select a map to vote for it, or cycle between pages to see other maps.
Ready Up
Hold out the Redstone Dust and hold right click/the Use button for about one second. Your Redstone Dust will turn into a Slimeball, making you Ready. Players that are Ready will have their color bar lit up (shown above your hotbar).
Take Everything
LCE had a feature in Battle to Take Everything from chests, allowing for quick chest looting. On Keyboard & Mouse/Controller: When opening a chest, click on one of the barriers in your inventory. On mobile: When opening a chest, double click ONE of the barriers in your inventory.
