Lee County Scholars

Lee County Scholars is an annual award that can be earned by students in grades 5-12. It is presented jointly from the Lee County Association of Educators and the Lee County Board of Education.

2024 award ceremonies:

Invitations will be announced in April and sent to students via LCS student email and each school will be provided with a copy of its qualifying students.

To qualify, a student must earn a grade of A -  90% or better - in each marking period for each class (1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter) since the awards are presented near the end of the 4th quarter. Eligibility is determined via PowerSchool data and verified at the school level.

All academic classes count - including exploratory and electives as well as advanced and college level courses.

Along with a certificate of recognition, prizes are awarded based on the number of years a student has earned Lee County Scholars:

A database of students earning this award is kept by the Lee County Association of Educators and updated annually.
