Leena Dihingia

I am an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the Dept. of Assamese, Gauhati University. I have a Ph.D. degree in Linguistics from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.  I have previously worked as a guest faculty, Dept. of Linguistics, University of Delhi, and as an adjunct faculty, Dept. of HSS, Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad.

My research areas include acoustic phonetics, speech production, and perception particularly the properties of vowels and vowel variation. My interest also extends to socio-phonetics and language variation and computational linguistics.

When not looking at spectrograms, I like to spend my time dabbling in watercolors.
