We are now looking for graduate students who are interested in the following research topics.

• Modeling of 2D van der Waal materials using DFT and quantum many-body theory

1. Learning to perform density functional theory (DFT) and quantum many-body theory at a professional level

2. Learning to interpret experimental results and perform accurate simulations using quantum mechanics.

• Non-equilibrium dynamics in correlated topological materials

1. Learning to solve time-dependent Schrodinger's equation 

2. Mastering in the topological effects of quantum materials

In general, students in my group will develop computer codes to solve some challenging theoretical problems numerically. Moreover, my group has close collaborations with experimentalists, thus students will interact with some of our collaborators frequently.
