# Privacy Policy — LED PROX

LED PROX ("the app") is a mobile application used to control LED PROX lighting
controllers over Bluetooth. This policy explains what information the app does
and does not handle.
## Summary
**LED PROX does not collect, store, or share any personal data.** The app has
no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of its own. All
communication happens directly between your phone and your LED controller over
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
## Information the app uses
### Bluetooth
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy to discover, connect to, and control LED
PROX controller devices. Bluetooth scan results (device names and identifiers
of nearby LED PROX controllers) are processed on your phone only and are never
transmitted anywhere.
### Location permission (Android)
On some Android versions the operating system requires location permission in
order to scan for Bluetooth devices. LED PROX requests this permission **only**
to satisfy that requirement. The app does not determine, record, store, or
transmit your location.
### Photos / media (optional)
If you choose to set a custom background image, the app opens your device's
image picker. The selected image is copied into the app's private storage on
your phone only. It is never uploaded or shared. If you never use this
feature, the app does not access your photos.
### App settings
Your preferences (device names you assign, colours, effects, playlists,
language, theme) are stored locally on your phone and inside your own LED
controller. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party.
## What the app does NOT do
- No collection of personal information (name, email, contacts, etc.)
- No account registration or sign-in
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising or advertising identifiers
- No data sharing with third parties
- No internet servers — the app works entirely offline over Bluetooth
## Data security
Communication between the app and the LED controller uses Bluetooth LE with
pairing and link-layer encryption. Because no personal data is collected,
there is no personal data at risk on any server.
## Children's privacy
The app is a general-purpose utility for controlling LED lighting hardware and
does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
## Changes to this policy
If the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects privacy, this document
will be updated and the effective date above revised.
