Thank you for using Lecture Translation app. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app.
We collect the following types of information:
We use your microphone to allow speech-to-text and translation features.
We do not store or share your voice recordings; they are processed in real time.
This permission is required for two purposes:
Uploading a profile picture: We only access the selected image to upload as your profile picture. We do not access or modify any other media files on your device.
Saving downloaded Lecture audio: When you choose to download a Lecture audio, the app saves the audio file to your device's storage:
On Android, the audio is saved to your device’s Downloads folder.
On iOS, the audio is saved inside the app's private Documents folder.
We use your location to show nearby lectures relevant to your interests.
Your location data is used only when necessary and is not shared with third parties.
We send push notifications for important updates, messages, and reminders.
You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.
We use your phone number for One-Time Password (OTP) verification to ensure secure login and account protection.
Provide and improve app functionality.
Enable speech-to-text and translation services.
Help users personalize their profiles.
Show relevant nearby lectures.
Send notifications and verify users via OTP.
3. Subscription & In-App Purchases
Lecture Translation offers auto-renewable subscriptions and in-app purchases for both Speakers and Listeners.
3.1.1 For Speakers
Speakers can choose from three subscription plans, each providing:
Access to a specific number of supported languages for translation.
The ability to select languages for real-time Lecture translation.
A set number of minutes to use during Lectures.
Example:
A speaker on the Speaker Basic Plan gets 3 languages (e.g., English, French, and Spanish), and up to 5 hrs of service. When they deliver a Lecture in Arabic, the translation will be available in these three languages.
If the speaker runs out of minutes, they can purchase additional minutes through in-app purchases.
Free Trial:
New speakers are eligible for a 7-day free trial to explore all features before subscribing.
Pay-As-You-Go Option:
Speakers can also choose a Pay-As-You-Go model without a subscription.
This allows them to pay a one-time fee to deliver a Lecture directly, with:
Up to 2 selected languages for translation.
Up to 3 hours of speaking time.
3.1.2 For Listeners
Listeners can subscribe to a monthly auto-renewable plan that provides credits, allowing them to:
Listen to Lectures in languages not originally supported by the speaker.
Use their credits to unlock translations on demand.
Example:
A listener on the Listener Basic Plan gets 160 credits. If they want to listen to a Lecture in a language not provided by the speaker, credits will be deducted accordingly.
If a listener runs out of credits, they can purchase more through in-app purchases.
3.2.1 Auto-Renewal Policy
Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled.
Users can manage or cancel subscriptions via App Store or Play Store settings.
3.2.2 In-App Purchases
Additional minutes (for speakers) and credits (for listeners) can be purchased at any time.
Purchased minutes and credits remain in the account until fully used.
Additional In-App Purchases for Speakers:
Speakers can also purchase additional storage as an add-on. This extra storage allows them to save and archive their Lectures beyond the default storage limit provided in their plan.
Example:
A speaker may want to save past Lectures for future reference or offer them to listeners later for replay or download. If their included storage is full, they can buy more storage space through a one-time in-app purchase.
3.3 Refund Policy
3.3.1 Subscription Refunds
Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated.
If you experience any issues with your subscription or have any concerns, please contact us directly at contactus@itsoureone.com, and we will assist you with any problems.
3.3.2 In-App Purchase Refunds
In-app purchases for additional minutes or credits are non-refundable once the transaction is completed.
If you believe there has been an error or if you have a question regarding your in-app purchase, please reach out to us at contactus@itsoureone.com, and we will review your case.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
All data is securely stored and encrypted.
You can:
Disable microphone, gallery, or location access in your device settings.
Opt out of notifications.
Delete your data: You can delete all of your personal data from within the app at any time. Please refer to the app's settings for the option to delete your account and associated data.
