An educator at heart, and passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise with others.
Masters of Evaluation (Melbourne Uni, 2023)
Post Grad. Social Psychology (St. John Uni, UK, 2016)
Bachelor of Statistics & Computer Science (Colombo University, 2010)
With a strong academic background, I hold a Master of Evaluation from the University of Melbourne and a Postgraduate Diploma in Community and Critical Psychology from York St John University, UK. My academic credentials also include an Honours Degree in Statistics with Computer Science, with a comprehensive foundation in Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science.
Professionally, I have leveraged my skills and expertise in various roles. Following the completion of my BSc degree in 2009, I worked as a Statistical Data Analyst at a strategic consulting firm based in the USA. In 2011, I transitioned to a role that aligned with my passion for community work, serving as Head of Research at a non-governmental organisation.
Currently, I am the Senior Performance Analyst Lead at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, Victoria, where I continue to apply my analytical and leadership skills to drive positive outcomes.
I have been Tutoring in Math since 2014 across UK and Australia. I have taught more than 100+ students from grades 1 to VCE.Â
I approach each tutoring session with unwavering confidence in my students' potential. Recognising the challenges often associated with mathematics, I prioritise building their confidence and fostering a positive learning environment. I am committed to providing patient and thorough explanations, ensuring that students fully grasp each concept before progressing to new material. This approach enables them to develop a deep understanding of mathematical principles and theories.
In mathematics, I encourage students to explore multiple problem-solving strategies, promoting flexibility and critical thinking. To reinforce their understanding and improve efficiency, I emphasise the importance of practicing additional problems. This not only enhances their proficiency but also helps them manage time effectively during examinations.
To ensure students achieve their full potential, I encourage them to complete regular homework assignments, which helps solidify their understanding and build momentum in their studies.
