Account Data: When you register as a Student or Tutor, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and phone number.
Tutor-Specific Data: If you register as a Tutor, we collect additional details including gender, bio, teaching experience, educational qualifications, institute names, and your residential or teaching address.
Authentication: We store hashed passwords for local login. If you use Google or Apple Sign-In, we collect your unique provider ID (Google ID / Apple ID) and public profile information provided by those platforms.
B. Content and Academic Data
Media: Profile pictures and cover images uploaded via our service (stored via Cloudinary).
Doubt Clearing: Questions, text descriptions, and images uploaded to the "Doubts" section, as well as the solutions provided by tutors.
Academic Records: Information about subjects, standards/classes, chapter progress, and lesson schedules.
C. Usage and Technical Data
Booking & Schedules: Class timings, durations, booking statuses, and rescheduling requests.
Notifications: FCM Tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Device IDs to send real-time updates about your classes and doubts.
Reviews: Ratings and comments provided by students for tutors.
To Provide Services: Connecting students with tutors, managing bookings, and maintaining schedules.
To Facilitate Communication: Sending push notifications regarding lesson reminders, doubt solutions, and account updates.
To Improve the App: Analyzing usage trends to enhance user experience.
Safety and Security: Verifying tutor credentials and ensuring a secure environment for students.
Student-Tutor Interaction: We share necessary profile information (name, subject, standard) between students and tutors to facilitate learning.
Cloudinary: For image hosting and management.
Google/Apple: For authentication services.
Firebase: For delivery of push notifications.
Hosting: Our backend is hosted on secure servers (e.g., Render/Supabase).
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us, after which we will delete your personal data from our active databases, subject to legal requirements.
