Tips for making perfect Marshall samples

1) ‌Heat the aggregate properly at 160-170°c otherwise, the good coating will not come.

2) ‌Don't overheat the bitumen. No need to heat it more than 150°c.

3) ‌During mixing, don't put high temperature or flame. Keep the mixing temperature within 150-160°c.

4) Before compaction, keep the mix temperature near 145°c or mid of the range of viscosity chart (a slight cool down may be required after immediately mixing) and keep the same temperature for all samples (+/-1°c).

NB: Prepare viscosity chart @ two temperatures (such as 140°F & 270°F) and check the required temperature of mixing and compaction as per viscosity-temperature line (Range for Compaction 0.28+/-0.03 Pa-s and Mixing 0.17+/-0.02 Pa-s) before preparing Marshall mold.
