LearnLax is a nonprofit organization founded by Luke Desnoyer, a varsity lacrosse player at Royal Oak High School, with the support of several teammates from the M1 Royal Oak-Berkley lacrosse team. Dedicated to helping young athletes in metro Detroit, LearnLax offers FREE lessons, operates clinics, provides equipment, and runs training sessions for youth lacrosse players of all skill levels, aiming to grow the sport and build skills in the community.
In Fall 2024, LearnLax held their first Intro to Lacrosse camp. Youth players, ages ranging from 6-13, were provided with equipment and taught the basic skills required for the game, all for no cost. The event was a massive success with overwhelmingly positive feedback coming from parents and players alike. LearnLax plans to continue offering free private training to players in the Royal Oak-Berkley area. Visit the "Free Training Sessions" page to register.
With a coaching staff of 5+ varsity athletes, LearnLax aims to offer participants insights and guidance that only active players can provide.
