Hyperdocs: Organize an interactive lesson or present an entire unit all within the structure of a single Google Doc. It's that simple. However, it is the collaborative nature of GSuite that makes Hyperdocs perfect for creating a richer experience when designing for remote learning.
Founders Lisa Highfill, Sarah Landis, and Kelly Hilton describe them this way, "HyperDocs, a transformative, interactive Google Doc replacing the worksheet method of delivering instruction, is the ultimate change agent in the blended learning classroom. With strong educational philosophies built into each one, HyperDocs have the potential to shift the way you instruct with technology. They are created by teachers and given to students to engage, educate, and inspire learning. It’s not about teaching technology, it’s about using technology to TEACH."
Getting started is easy as free courses are available for building your first hyperdoc, teaching with remote text-sets, and specifically for using them in a remote learning set-up.
Especially helpful is that an entire community has popped up around hyperdocs, creating a bundle of support resources and free templates.
Much like the learning frames in EduProtocols, once students and teachers develop a familiarity with the format, content can be swapped to make this a "Work smarter not harder" kind of tool.
