Notebook LM is a tool that allows users to upload sources and texts. These sources can then be summarized and organized into ways to best support the user. It streamlines the research process and offers a variety of mixed-media options for viewing information. This tool is valuable for us as learners and educators, as it enables us to summarize information and develop key talking points quickly. Notebook LM will also create AI-generated podcasts to read the uploaded data, making learning more accessible.
About Us
Nikki Diehm is a committed mother of two teenagers and a supportive wife to her husband, who serves in the Sheriff’s Office. With over a decade of experience in elementary education, Nikki has dedicated her career to enhancing educational environments and fostering academic success within local school communities. Currently pursuing her doctoral degree at Pepperdine University, Nikki is passionate about expanding her knowledge to support and improve the field of education. In her free time, she enjoys watching her daughter express her love for dance and cheering on her son at baseball games. At the end of the day, Nikki finds joy in tending to her garden and relaxing with her beloved French Bulldog, Wyatt.
Shaina Spaulding is a student, teacher on pause, and wife to her husband, who works at a large tech company. She is a transplant from the Midwest and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at Pepperdine University. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she identifies more with Minnesota, having lived there for over a decade. She is currently seeking to pursue a career in children's educational media, exploring ways to utilize technology to support the development of socio-emotional learning. In her free time, she loves taking her dogs Goomba and Zelda to the beach, thrifting, and beating her husband at Scrabble.
Ramona "Mona" Gabriel is a Pepperdine doctoral student, studying "Organizational Leadership. She is currently a Professor and Chair of the Administration of Justice Department at De Anza College, in Cupertino. She was born and raised in the Bay Area. Although Mona does not have her own children, she has four nieces and one nephew that she calls her own. Mona is an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams are: Warriors, Giants, and 49 Niners. In her free time, you might find her asleep or practicing the piano. Mona does not have any hobbies, because she cannot commit to just one thing. However, she does love reading, which mostly consist of mysteries.
