What is a Personal Project?

The Personal Project is a celebration of your learning and interests as you complete the MYP. It reflects who you are as a learner and can help prepare you for your studies and work in the future.

It is a personal project, which is important; it should revolve around a challenge that motivates and interests you. You should aim to produce a truly personal and often creative product/outcome and to demonstrate a consolidation of your learning in Grade 10.

HOw will a Personal Project benefit you?

Completing a Personal Project has many benefits:

 it will improve your time management and planning skills

 it will give you the opportunity to extend your knowledge and skills in an area that is of great interest to you

 it may reveal talents and skills you did not realise you had

 it will give you an excellent study foundation for Year 11 and beyond

 it may stimulate an interest in a career

 it may eliminate an interest in a particular career!
