A passionate practitioner and instructor of calligraphy, Mami is a Shihan-Master certified calligrapher from Kagoshima, Japan. Through her calligraphy company "Sho Artworks" she has shared her talents with aspiring learners in a variety of public and educational settings.

Akiko Sharp
Akiko Sharp is an instructor in the Japanese Program at the Department of Linguistics, Languages and Cultures at the University of Calgary. She has been teaching at the University of Calgary since 2003, and has taught Japanese to students from ages 4 to 80 in Japan, Canada and the UK. She has actively promoted Japanese language and culture in Winnipeg and Calgary. Students at the University of Calgary may be familiar with her ever-popular Think Ink! series promoting Japanese calligraphy.
