Welcome to DYW

Sky Technology, DYW West Lothian Regional Group and dressCode have teamed up to bring you a suite of online tutorials that help you to achieve a basic knowledge of coding in less than an hour!

Working with either a physical micro:bit (a pocket sized computer), or using a virtual equivalent via https://microbit.org* you can begin your coding journey today!

Before you start, have a listen to some of the videos the wonderful staff at Sky Technology have created for you- hear about their work at Sky, the job opportunities available in the IT sector and the different pathways to starting a career in IT.

Your tutor, Shona from Sky, will then guide you through each tutorial to help you on your way.

*Microbit.org is the primary website of the Micro:bit Educational Foundation and is aimed at educators, providing a range of project ideas, lesson materials and curriculum to use in learning and teaching
