French Learning App respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use the app, how it may be used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we may collect
The app may process the following categories of information:
- Account information such as email address, display name, profile photo, or anonymous sign-in status when you choose to sign in with Firebase Authentication
- Learning progress stored locally on your device, such as XP, streak, completed lessons, chosen language, avatar, reminder time, dark mode and sound preferences
- App usage, diagnostics and crash-related information through Firebase services and similar tools used to improve reliability and performance
- Advertising-related data through Google AdMob, which may use device and app interaction data to provide and measure ads
2. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Save your learning progress and app preferences
- Show reminders and notifications you enable
- Improve app stability, performance and user experience
- Display and measure ads
- Prevent abuse and maintain service security
3. Local storage
Part of your progress and settings are stored locally on your device using app storage technologies. This may include XP, streak, lesson completion, reminders, avatar and display preferences.
4. Authentication
If you sign in, authentication may be handled through Firebase Authentication using email/password, Google sign-in or anonymous access. The information associated with your sign-in method may be processed by Google Firebase according to their policies.
5. Advertising
The app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). AdMob may collect or receive data such as device identifiers, approximate diagnostics, app interactions and advertising performance signals in order to serve, personalize, limit or measure ads, depending on user region, consent flow and platform settings.
6. Analytics and crash reporting
The app may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics or related Google Firebase tools to understand app usage, diagnose crashes and improve performance.
7. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app may send learning reminders based on your chosen reminder settings. You can disable notifications at any time in your device or app settings.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, including Google Firebase and Google AdMob, only as needed to provide app functionality, analytics, crash monitoring, authentication and advertising.
9. Data retention
Locally stored progress remains on your device unless you clear app data, reset progress inside the app, or uninstall the app. Data handled by third-party providers may be retained according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.
10. Children
This app is not intentionally directed to children under the age required by applicable law without parental or guardian involvement. If you believe personal data from a child was provided inappropriately, please contact us.
11. Your choices
You can:
- Use the app anonymously when available
- Turn notifications on or off
- Reset local progress from the app settings
- Stop using the app at any time
- Manage Google account and ad preferences through your device and Google settings
12. Third-party services
The app may rely on services provided by:
- Google Firebase
