Descriptive text is a kind of text that describes something / personn in particular details

The Purpose of Descriptive text

To give information and describe someone/something specifically to the readers in particular or details

Object of Writing in Descriptive text

Descriptive text usually tells us about :

  2. Things / animal around us

  3. Tourism places / city / country

  4. company profile

  5. biography of famous/ successful person

The Generic Structure of Descriptive text

  1. Identification : Introducing what, where or who is the subject is being describe

  2. Description : Describe parts, qualities, characteristic of the person, places or thing to be describe

Grammatical Features

  1. Focus on specific participant

  2. it usually uses simple present tense with action verb ( love, like, eat, etc) in sentences

  3. it usually uses some adjective in many sentences ( beautiful, cute, handsome, big , tall , etc)
