Learning GIS entails the understanding of conceptual knowledge of all the Geo-spatial Technologies along with practical experience on real inputs using ArcGIS & QGIS. In general, academic learning has modest working experience and industrial training lacks the conceptual knowledge. The courses offered under the guidance of Dr.Jayachandra incorporates specially designed industrial work experience along with the concept learning. Learning Earth and Space concepts at the school level becomes more meaningful with practical knowledge with Google earth/maps, Satellite images, topography etc., which enrich their understanding of the Earth, environment, and natural resources. The one month course emphasizes the scientific principles and satellite data that power technologies like GPS & Tele-communications, connecting their academic knowledge with real-life applications. While traditional schooling often limits practical exposure and industrial training may lack conceptual depth, this course designed and guided by Dr. Jayachandra bridges that gap by offering a unique blend of theory and practice.
Dr. Jayachandra has over 25 years of expertise in Geo-spatial Technologies, having executed hundreds of projects and trained thousands of students in this domain since 1997. He is the Founder of Global Information Technologies and currently serves as Regional Director at the Centre for Environment and Development (CED), Trivandrum, an environmental organization recognized as a Centre of Excellence by the Government of India. He is also the Founder & President of the Pure Earth Foundation, a charitable society based in Hyderabad.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Jayachandra has held diverse advisory and consultancy roles, including as Adviser at the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS) and Consultant to GHMC, Police, and Rural Development departments.
He is a sought-after resource person and guest faculty, having delivered lectures at premier institutions such as the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Dr. MCR Institute of HRD, National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Judicial Academy Telangana, Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), and Telangana Academy of Land Information and Management (TALIM). He has also been invited to speak at numerous colleges, universities, and professional institutions across the country.
Advance Certificate Course in GIS
Offers 6 weeks full time dedicated course on Geo-Informatics with ArcGIS & QGIS in both On-line and Off-line modes. Serious intention to learn & work during the course is expected from the participants.
Students studying/completed their studies in Geo-Sciences, Natural resources, Rural & urban planning, Architecture, Resources development, Mining, Agriculture, Forestry, Water resources, Environment, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Transportation, IT, Utilities etc., research studies , Project DPR involved professionals, Govt. services, passionate scholars can take this course.
EARTH & SPACE CONCEPTS (One Month Certificate Course)
Offers 4 weeks(daily 60mts) dedicated course on Earth & Space concepts to school students as Junior (5th-7th grade) & Senior(8th - 12th grades) levels. The course is offered in online and English medium only. However the participants can visit at specific times with prior appointment.
Projects & Internships
Academic project works & Internships will be offered to the students studying for Degree, Engineering, Masters and PhD, in Geo-sciences or technologies connected topics

Students are advised to take up practice work (vectorisation) on real inputs before starting theory classes. With registration they will be guided on practice work.
Daily 90 minutes theoretical classes and 6-8 hours practice during 10.00 am to 7.00 pm .
Class timing will be according to participants convenience between 10.00 am to 9.00 pm (7.30 pm to 9.00 pm for working participants (employees)
Practice on live inputs, such as topographic maps, cadastral maps, land use land cover creation from satellite imagery, Urban feature /layers creation, mapping of real GPS/ DGPS surveyed data, CAD to GIS conversion etc using ArcGIS and QGIS. (detailed processes mentioned & course topic)
The course is designed to prepare the candidates for team members, project/team leader and consultant roles.
Students shall take up Project Work or shall prepare Atlas at the end of the course
Certificate will be provided to successfully completed students/participants
Due to any reason, if the participant fails to fulfill the mandatory tasks they are allowed in future batches to complete.
Course fee can be paid in two equal installments.
Participants who can't get full time for the course, can continue more days/weeks beyond the batch duration to complete the mandatory tasks.
Customized courses are offered to specific departmental staff, employees of any company as per their departmental requirements
Minimum 6 days, 14 days or 30 days courses will be offered with special fee structure and minimum number of participants.
