This Privacy Policy explains how Learn2Scroll accesses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use the Learn2Scroll Android application.
Learn2Scroll is designed to make short educational sessions available while the user is scrolling through short-form video applications. It can display a small cow-head control over applications selected by the user. An educational micro-study session opens only when the user intentionally interacts with this control.
These sessions may last from only a few seconds and a few words to several minutes. This allows users to complete frequent, low-effort repetitions and then return to the application they were using. Frequent repetition can be particularly useful for learning activities such as language study, memory consolidation, and becoming more familiar with a language over time.
The current version of Learn2Scroll:
Does not require an account.
Does not contain advertising.
Does not offer subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
Does not sell user information.
Does not transmit user information to the developer.
Does not capture or record the device screen.
Learn2Scroll uses Android's Accessibility service to know when to show a study break. With your consent, it reads:
which app is in the foreground, so it only acts in apps you have chosen;
the layout of the screen in those apps — which views are present, where they are and how big they are, and whether the keyboard or a text field is active. While a study card is waiting to appear, the position of one video on screen is followed continuously so the card can move in step with the video you are swiping to;
scroll events, specifically how far a list has moved, so the app can tell a deliberate swipe from a small scroll.
It does not read the text on your screen — no messages, posts, captions, usernames or passwords — and it does not record or capture your screen. It never acts on your behalf: it never taps, types or scrolls for you.
All of this is processed on your device, in the moment, and is not stored afterwards. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, and none of it is used for analytics or advertising. You can turn the Accessibility service off at any time in Android Settings.
The Accessibility Service may technically encounter information exposed through an application’s accessibility interface. Learn2Scroll does not intentionally record, retain, analyse, transmit, or create profiles from:
Social-media posts.
Comments.
Usernames or profiles.
Private messages.
Passwords.
Payment information.
Text entered by the user.
Photos, videos, or audio.
The contents or subject matter of short-form videos.
Detailed browsing or application-usage histories.
Temporary information about the active application, detected screen type, and time spent on the current screen may be processed as required for the intervention timer. This information is used locally for Learn2Scroll’s functionality and is not sent to the developer or shared with third parties.
Learn2Scroll uses Android’s display-over-other-apps permission to provide educational micro-study sessions without requiring the user to leave the application they are currently using.
When the required conditions are met, Learn2Scroll may display a small cow-head control over a user-selected short-video application.
Learn2Scroll does not automatically force a full educational card or micro-study session onto the user.
A micro-study session opens only after the user intentionally interacts with the cow-head control, such as by pressing it and performing the required swipe gesture.
The display-over-other-apps permission allows Learn2Scroll to:
Display the small cow-head control above selected applications.
Open a user-initiated educational interface above the current application.
Allow the user to complete a micro-study session without switching applications.
Allow sessions to be as short as a few seconds or a few words.
Allow the user to close the session and return to scrolling immediately.
This functionality is intended to reduce the effort required to begin a study session. It can support frequent repetitions, which are particularly relevant for language learning, memory consolidation, vocabulary exposure, and becoming accustomed to patterns in a language.
Learn2Scroll does not use this permission to display advertisements, imitate another application, capture information entered into another application, or interfere with another application beyond the user-selected educational functionality.
Learn2Scroll may store the following information locally on the user’s device:
Selected applications.
Learning progress.
Previously displayed cards.
Card display counts.
Current learning level.
Study-session and intervention timing information.
App settings and preferences.
Onboarding and permission status.
The current educational course contains Turkish-to-English content for levels A1.0 through A1.6.
This locally stored information is not associated with an online account and is not transmitted to the developer.
The current version of Learn2Scroll does not collect or transmit:
Names.
Email addresses.
Telephone numbers.
Postal addresses.
Account credentials.
Precise or approximate location.
Contacts.
Calendar information.
Advertising identifiers.
Device identifiers used for tracking.
Financial or payment information.
Photos, videos, or audio files.
Private communications.
The contents of short-form videos or social-media posts.
Analytics or crash-reporting information.
Learn2Scroll does not contain advertisements, sponsored content, paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, or other paid features.
Learn2Scroll does not sell, rent, or share user information with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Google may independently process information connected with Google Play, including application downloads, device security, and Play Store activity. Such processing is controlled by Google and is subject to Google’s own privacy policies.
Learn2Scroll does not maintain a developer-controlled user database.
Locally stored learning progress, timing information, and preferences remain on the device until the user:
Uses an in-app reset function, where available.
Clears Learn2Scroll’s application storage through Android settings.
Uninstalls Learn2Scroll.
Temporary accessibility information used to determine the active application, screen type, or current time spent on a screen is discarded or replaced after it is no longer required for local processing.
Learn2Scroll does not maintain a detailed server-side history of the applications or videos used by the user.
Because Learn2Scroll does not provide accounts or store user records on developer-controlled servers, there is no online account or server-side record to delete.
Depending on the user’s device and backup settings, Android may back up locally stored Learn2Scroll settings and learning progress to the user’s own Google Account for restoration on the same or another device.
This backup is managed by Android and Google, not by Learn2Scroll. The developer cannot access the user’s backup data.
Users may disable Learn2Scroll’s access at any time by:
Disabling Learn2Scroll in Android Accessibility settings.
Revoking the display-over-other-apps permission.
Stopping Learn2Scroll through the app or its notification.
Removing an application from the selected-app list.
Clearing Learn2Scroll’s local storage.
Uninstalling Learn2Scroll.
Some core functionality, including short-video screen detection, intervention timing, the cow-head control, and educational overlays, will no longer work when the necessary permissions are disabled.
Learn2Scroll may be used by children and adults, but it is not designed or marketed specifically for young children.
Learn2Scroll does not require children or other users to create an account or provide personal information. The current version does not transmit personal information to the developer.
Parents or guardians can disable the application’s permissions or uninstall the application through the device’s Android settings.
Learn2Scroll limits information processing to what is required for its functionality and keeps application settings, learning progress, and relevant timing information locally on the user’s device.
Local information is protected through Android’s application sandbox and the security controls provided by the user’s device and operating system.
Learn2Scroll operates alongside applications selected by the user but is not owned by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with those applications or their owners.
Any application names, product names, or trademarks belong to their respective owners. Learn2Scroll’s ability to operate alongside an application does not imply a partnership, endorsement, or commercial relationship with that application or its owner.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Learn2Scroll’s features or data practices change.
The effective date at the beginning of this policy will be updated when changes are made. Relevant changes will also be reflected in the application and Google Play declarations where required.
