About me

Hi, I'm Lizzy!

I've taught English as a second language for over six years in Austria, Thailand, and the United States. I believe that creating a classroom community and making the most of class time with meaningful, interactive activities are essential for student learning. 

I'm a PhD student in applied linguistics at Northern Arizona University. I have a master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a bachelor's degree in linguistics. 

When I'm not teaching, you can find me reading books, running, or dancing.
