About Us

Learn & Earn is a program funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

We are recruiting low-income youths who are embarking onto their junior year of high school until their freshman year in college. During this 3 year commitment, participants attend daily workshops where we focus on topics about life skills, leadership development, community service, advocacy efforts, college readiness, and the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).

Our goal is to prepare our youth to have the tools and experience necessary to succeed into their adult lives. With the juniors, we begin "talks" about college and help them go on trips to prepare them for senior year when they apply. For seniors we help them throughout their whole application process, teaching them how to do financial aid and helping them with their personal statements. College freshmen will get monthly check ups where we answer questions to ensure that they have someone to talk to during their transition from high school into college.

CPC is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
