Welcome!

I teach a small parent-child nature class using the Tinkergarten curriculum for children aged 18 months to 8 years old. we design classes to provide families with fun and educational activities that encourage exploration, problem solving, teamwork and creativity. Along the way, parents learn about child development and the importance of both free play and time spent outdoors. Families are taught to respect nature and local green spaces as we practice "leave no trace."

Nature-based, play-focused, child-led fun!

About me

I've always loved working with kids at summer camps, preschool, and church events.  I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and also my NH teaching certificate in 2011. I taught and nannied for a few years before my husband, Josh, and I started our own family (which grew to 4 kids!). I enjoy spending time with my family whether riding bikes, hiking, exploring, playing games, or just reading a good book.

I started teaching Tinkergarten in 2018 and taught for two years before taking a break to focus on homeschooling my kids and have two more littles. Now I'm excited to be jumping back into it with my youngest kids! I'm looking forward to bringing Tinkergarten back to Alton and help grow a community of families!
