Free Fall class on September 11th!
I teach a small parent-child nature class using the Tinkergarten curriculum for children aged 18 months to 8 years old. we design classes to provide families with fun and educational activities that encourage exploration, problem solving, teamwork and creativity. Along the way, parents learn about child development and the importance of both free play and time spent outdoors. Families are taught to respect nature and local green spaces as we practice "leave no trace."
Nature-based, play-focused, child-led fun!
I've always loved working with kids at summer camps, preschool, and church events. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and also my NH teaching certificate in 2011. I taught and nannied for a few years before my husband, Josh, and I started our own family (which grew to 4 kids!). I enjoy spending time with my family riding bikes, hiking, exploring, playing games, or just reading a good book.
I started teaching Tinkergarten in 2018, and I love watching kids grow and get excited about nature and engaged in the activities we do together. I've also enjoyed getting to know the families who participate as they come back year after year. I'm so grateful to help grow a community of families in the Alton area who are excited about being outside together!
