It all depends upon what specifically we are doing for the town.
Some towns feel they just need a specific task performed, such as managing a project, or developing a strategic plan, or performing a community assessment. A price would be developed for the specific task.
Other towns may choose the coaching service where they receive 50 hours of planning services over the course of a year for $3,850 per year.
There are degrees that a town can leap to, such as sustainable buildings. Would a city require them to be net zero energy? Or would it just require adoption of an energy code making them more efficient? That will be up to the town. Leap Town is an aspirational attitude. Whether the town possesses it or not, it can adopt the label. or not.
You could see a change of attitude in the community within months. You would see a physical change in the town within a year. Results will continue to the depth the town continues to stay engaged in the process.
If we are truly engaged in making changes, there can be no reason that we would not see results. Sometimes trying something new is better than doing nothing at all, and if we tried something that did not work, we will have learned from the activity and be better prepared to try something else. Not everything will work, but the process of trying will have beneficial outcomes. And continuing to try new things is the resilient thing to do.
Only you can answer that. I have my reasons for wanting to try. Maybe our reasons match and we can effect a positive change in your community together.
