I've taught language, world literature, and writing at K-12 and university levels. I'm highly interested in engaging with new cultures and love literature, philosophy, and building connections with others through conversation.
I've lived in Colombia, Peru, Spain, and Andorra. Guided by my immersive experiences living in Spanish speaking countries, my teaching philosophy is grounded in communicative language teaching and Comprehensible Input. I focus on using the classroom as a space where students find confidence in expressing their perspectives, develop intercultural awareness, and focus on meaning and building relationships.
I hold a Master of Arts in English, Literary Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Georgia State University.
