PROJECT RESTORATION

The renovation of a boutique hotel in Castel d’Ario, Italy, reinterprets a historic structure through a striking contrast of forms. A restrained, linear ground-level extension reinforces the solidity and rhythm of the original masonry base, while above it a cantilevered metal-and-glass volume projects outward with lightness and dynamism. Inspired by Italian Futurism, the upper addition emphasizes movement, transparency, and modernity, creating a dialogue between permanence and motion that revitalizes the hotel as a contemporary landmark rooted in its historic context.
