Welcome to Leaf! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Leaf mobile application, website, and associated services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Leaf, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
To use Leaf, you must meet the following criteria:
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction).
You are legally permitted to use the Service by the laws of your home country.
You have not been convicted of, nor are subject to any court order relating to, assault, violence, sexual misconduct, or harassment.
You have not been previously banned or removed from Leaf.
2. Account Registration and Security
Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Notification: You must immediately notify Leaf of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
3. User Conduct and Rules
Leaf is designed to be a safe, respectful environment for connecting with others. You agree NOT to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Impersonate any person or entity, or post images of another person without their explicit consent.
Post or transmit content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, or pornographic.
Solicit money, passwords, or personal identifying information from other users.
Use the Service to promote commercial activities, sales, spam, or links to other websites.
Create multiple accounts or create a new account if you have been previously banned.
4. Content Ownership and Licensing
Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the text, photos, and other content you upload to Leaf ("User Content").
Our License: By uploading User Content, you grant Leaf a worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free right and license to host, store, use, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating, developing, and improving the Service.
Leaf’s Content: All other text, graphics, user interfaces, trademarks, logos, and computer code on the Service are owned, controlled, or licensed by Leaf and are protected by intellectual property laws.
5. Safety and Real-World Interactions
No Background Checks: Leaf does not currently conduct criminal background checks on its users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.
Assumption of Risk: You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions with other users, particularly if you decide to communicate off the Service or meet in person.
6. Premium Features and Purchases
Subscriptions: Leaf may offer premium features through subscriptions or one-time purchases (e.g., in-app purchases).
Billing: If you purchase a subscription, it will automatically renew until you cancel it via your app store account (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play) or within the app settings.
Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or specific platform policies.
7. Account Termination
By You: You may delete your account at any time by going to the settings within the app.
By Leaf: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice or liability, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. LEAF DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LEAF DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEAF AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM (A) YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE; (B) YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
