Council of Australian Law Deans (CALD)
CALD is the peak body of Australian Law Schools. The Deans of each law school in Australia comprise the members of the Council and they meet regularly throughout the year.
The CALD website includes important policy and practice documents including the Standards for Australian Law Schools, adopted by CALD in November 2009 and amended in March 2013. Australasian Law Academics Association (ALAA)
On 1 July 2019, the Australasian Law Teachers Association (ALTA) was relaunched as the Australasian Law Academics Association (ALAA). The name reflects the Association's renewed commitment to representing and supporting all law academics in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Established in 1946 as the Australian Universities Law Schools Association, the Association has provided a platform for Australasian law teachers and legal scholars to network, collaborate and share expertise, primarily by way of the annual Conference, the Association's Interest Groups, and the Association's academic publications including the Legal Education Review, the Journal of ALAA, and the Legal Education Digest.
