My research investigates the role of intangibles—such as language, labor, culture, law, or ideas—in a world shaped by evolving macroeconomic and monetary policies. I approach these topics from both empirical macroeconomic and political economy perspectives, integrating theory with evidence and employing a wide array of methods.
I am also a researcher at Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies and WU Vienna and hold a PhD in Economics from HU Berlin. Previously, I worked in the Research Department of the European Central Bank and spent Fall 2022 as a visiting researcher at UC Berkeley.
